Tucuman’s Heavy Piece

Heavy Metal: A loud and harsh, noisy music style, strong beated, usually with strong and shouted lyrics involving violence or fantastic imagination.

“And they heard the hard voice screaming like thunder, and so they knew, heavy metal was alive”.

People in Tucumán have different interests when speaking about music…some just listen to the most popular Tucumán music called: Cumbia or Folklore, while some actually get to listen Brutal Death Metal (a heavier genre derived from Heavy Meta)l. While walking on the streets, you may get to see lots of different styles, such as: Emos, who listen to a so called Sentimental Punk, the real Punk Rockers, who, of course listen to Punk Rock, and the ones I’m most interested in talking about: Metalheads, who blow up their minds with Heavy Metal.

Heavy Metal, since its birth date, in the middle of the twentieth century, has been criticised, pre-judged and thought of it as the Devils work, has actually become very popular among teenagers, and there are also adults who still listen to it.Unlike Punk Rock, which some people believe, died some time ago, Heavy Metal keeps bringing up new groundbreaking bands, songs, artists, and new albums that inspire the “heavy”community.

Here in Tucumán this music has never been as popular as it is today. People are really getting into it, and by forming new bands they are promoting the movement. Nowadays, you will see artists handing out flyers in the streets inviting you to their show. And so that the style doesn’t die they invite other bands to make them grow into fame. Theres a very clear image of companionship between the “metalheads”. This weekend, for example, Tucuman’s Metal Fest 2 (image on right side) is taking place, were local bands, and from other provinces will play a 2 day long concert for the fans of the style.

A few weeks ago, the most important Argentinian rock concert, Quilmes Rock, took place, not in Tucumán, but in Buenos Aires. Nevertheless a lot of Tucumán teenagers, and also adults have actually attended the show. This concert is so famous and important because of international bands coming to play for us. This year some of them were: Iron Maiden (Heavy Metal), Radiohead (Experimental, Post Metal, Rock), Kiss (Rock and Roll, Metal), and many others. But as I said before, local bands are also invited to aquire more fame among the Argentinian community.

For example, if a famous Power Metal, such as Sonata Arctica, or Stratovarius (both finnish bands) is playing, as lots of people are going to see it, local bands who want to be better known, will ask the famous one if they can play before them. And so, the band gets to perform infront of hundreds of people. Schools which indentify this style among their students, organize shows, or special days in which they sometimes invite famous bands in Tucumán, and the entrance fee won’t be as high as it would be in a regular concert. So, more people will attend, and the cycle just goes on and on. As we can see, people who actually like this music, want to get famous, and want to have an audience and in most cases become famous as their favourite bands. They do care about it all, and try to do something to get up high in the charts.

In my opinion, Heavy Metal is real music. It’s not just noise just as some people may say. This music style is very creative and it can also be aggressive. Artists actually put a lot of emotion in their music and lyrics. I believe that to be able to understand it you have to listen to it. People who pre-judge it and say that Heavy Metal is dead, or that actually it’s not good at all, are definetely ignorant about their life surroundings, and sometimes, their own culture. I think, unless they know about what they are talking about, keep their mouths shut and criticise what they actually know about. I got into Heavy Metal a few years ago and love it since then. I chose to play the keyboard which I will be playing soon with my band! The latest news of the style here in Tucumán talk about a new wave of Heavy Metal women bands that has hit Tucuman in the past few years. Girls now go solo or form a full women band showing their talent to the boys who think they are not talented. Some bands which have now aquired some fame, are for example, Shells, Pan Duro, Las Gomas De Eva, or Lima Limón. And for the fact that they are metalheads, they keep the so common Heavy Metal Step Off! (or in some cases, more agressive, F*** You) attitude. They assure they’ll keep on working on their stuff and show to the world they can do as well as anybody else. Girls keep their feminism even in this manly and violent style.

Mountain Biking In Tucuman

Mountain Biking In Tucuman

What would yo think if i told you that you can visit amaizing places only with your bike and some equipment? Many people choose bikes to train themselfs or just have fun with their friends.

Mountain biking Is the most popular bike riding activity practiced here in Tucuman. There are usually many races and one of the most important cycling events in Argentina,The Rally Trasmountain is organized every year , the bikers cross rivers and mountains to arrive and complete the race. Here in Yerba Buena there are lots of places where you can enjoy riding your bike , like Horco Molle where there are uncountable paths and tracks because of this if you are new in this sport and you want to enjoy the trip you have to go with someone that knows the circuits and can take you to places where you can practice, there you can learn how to ride the bike well inside this paths later you will increase your level as rider and you will be able to go to harder paths, but you will need a special bike to succeed in there.

The mountain bikes are bicycles designed for off-road cycling, including jumps, and traversing and steep declines, dirt trails. Bicycles typically used for mountain biking need to have knobby tires for extra traction and shock absorption. In the current century, front wheel suspensionframe tubing, front fork or dual suspension shock absorbers. You will also need some special equipment like one helmet, gloves, confortable clothes and if you want you can buy special shoes that give you more control of your bike, because this shoes sticks to the special pedal and with one easy move you release your feet this is a little more dangerous but it will help you to drive your bike better. This is the result of years of development. has become the norm and full front and rear suspension has become increasingly common among bikes specially equipped. Most mountain bikes share similar characteristics that underscore durability and performance in rough terrain: wide, knobby tires, large

Since the development of the sport, many new subtypes of mountain biking have developed, such as cross-countrybiking, all-day endurance biking,freeride-biking,downhill mountain biking, street riding and a variety of competitions. Each place demands on the bike requiring different designs to suit them. Mountain bikes development has included an increase in gearing, up to 27 speeds, to facilitate climbing and rapid descents. Other developments have included disc instead of V-brakes.Your bike will not do all the job, also you need some personal skills.

This individual sport requires endurance, bike handling skills and self-reliance, and can be performed almost anywhere. There are aspects of mountain biking that you will need to solve your problems by your own because riders are often far from civilization riders learn to repair their broken bikes or flat tires to avoid being stranded miles from help. This reliance on survival skills accounts for the group dynamics of the sport. Club rides and group rides are common, especially on longer treks.
I’ve been mountain biking since i was 9 years old, and in my personal opinion this is one of the best sports I have ever done.It let you know lots of amaizing places and you can make lots of friends. To conclude I would like to add that this is not an expensive sport so its easy to begin. So why don’t you join this sport activity and have some fun?

What do people think about fashion?

Nowadays it is an important fact in everybody's life. The latest jeans, the most expensive sweaters, fashionable clothes, are the principal worries. Everyone wants to be attractive and call attention. Why are people so interested in wearing expensive clothes and showing them off?

Paris, Milan and New York are considered the major fashion centers of the whole world. They have the best designers, such as, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dolce & Gabana, Versace, Fendi, Victoria’s secret, etc, and the most popular manufacturers of fashion clothes and accessories. It’s also said that those are the ones who decide what’s “in” and what’s “old fashioned”. Their clothes are extremely expensive and not everyone can buy them. Here, in Argentina, we have different brands which are the most famous that’s the case of, Wanama, John L. Cook, Kosiuko, Levi’s and Jazmín Chebar. Their clothes are fantastic!

Fashion trends take a lot into account such as the weather, season, comfort, and lifestyle. Girls are the ones who are interested in them. They are very flirty, they want to impress all the time and they hate to wear the same apparel more than once! Because if they did so they could be rudely stared at or whispered about in public. And that’s the biggest fear of women: to be discriminated!

Fashion discrimination is very common nowadays. We don't realize it, but it's real. People prejudge others for their appearance. A good example could be the relationship between teenagers and “floggers” or “emos”. They don’t even talk to them because they look different, but they are people too and they have feelings. Just think about how you would feel if society reject you that way. Fashion discrimination also includes fat people. They go into a shop and all the clothes are small. They don’t fit in them! Clothes are made in small sizes and they don’t take into account fat ones. And due to this they don’t want to buy clothes and they go out with very low self-esteem.

Clothes show your personality. The majority of people believe that wearing expensive clothes is a good way to look wonderful. But there is another thing that isn’t considered by them. Personality shows what you are and how you are inside. People just work on what’s outside, but they don’t develop their own personality because they are worried about what others say. Few people, do not care about fashion and feel it is a senseless waste. They just put on things that makes them feel comfortable and casual and believe that there are a lot of things in life to be concerned about, not only fashion and appearence. Generally, they don’t use make up and they aren’t interested in beauty itself.

Image is taking an essential place, mostly among girls. They want to be accepted, and to fit in on their group of friends. They are always browsing fashion magazines and reading articles about how to look better, including beauty, health, photos, or places where you can buy brand clothes. That's why consumerism is increasing all the time. Fashion leads people to buy constantly in the most expensive shops. They want them to believe that wearing something "in" makes them important. And that’s the way they feel wearing them, fiting into society, and they don’t want to let that feeling go! They want to show it off!

It would be great if we change our behaviour because consumerism and discrimination is increasing day by day, and it is turning into a vicious cycle and it will be difficult to get out from it. What’s more, we are becoming more selfish and superficial, and we don’t care about the most important thing, THE INSIDE!

Fashion magazines show new trends. They decide what’s “in” and what’s “out”

In this picture we can see a fat woman who is trying to put on her jeans. They are made in small sizes that’s why she is so worried!

16 MILLION PEOPLE CANNOT BE WRONG...

There are many good series you can watch nowadays, perhaps to escape stress, to spend your free time, or just to have fun! But Lost is one of the most-watched series, with 5 seasons and at least 2 more to go. It was created by J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, and Jeffrey Lieber and is produced by ABC and Bad Robot productions. It’ s filmed in Oahu (Hawaii) and it was first broadcast September 22nd 2004. Since the First Season, it has been followed by more than 16 million viewers only in USA and has also received many awards, like a Golden Globe and six Emmy awards.

Episodes last approximately 42 minutes and they are usually about one character each (past life, family, relationships, etc.) including flashbacks that sometimes mix with the other character´s life combined with what is happening on the island. When the Third Season is finished, we start watching flashfowards that, combined with flashbacks, make the time something difficult to follow and the series more attractive. The majority of episodes end with a suspenseful event, revealed just seconds before a smash cut to black and the title graphic.

Season’ s summary...

Season 1: Oceanic Flight 815’ s plane crashes on a seemingly deserted tropical island, forcing the group of strangers to work together to stay alive. But there are many strange things in that island such as polar bears, an unseen creature that roams the jungle, and the island's inhabitants known as the "Others". They find a French woman called Danielle Rousseau who has been on the island for 16 years. The survivors also found a mysterious metal hatch buried in the ground.

Season 2: Most of the story, which continues 45 days after the crash, focuses on the conflict between the survivors and the Others. Some mysteries are resolved, and new questions are raised, there are also new characters. The hatch is explored and the existence of The DHARMA Initiative is revealed. As the truth about the mysterious Others begins to unfold, one of the crash survivors betrays his friends, and the cause of the plane crash isrevealed.

Season 3: The story continues 60 days after the crash. New crash survivors and Others are introduced, as the crash survivors learn about the Others and their history on the mysterious island. One of the Others and a new island inhabitant join the survivors while a survivor goes with the Others. A war between the Others and the survivors begins, and a contact with a rescue team is made.

Season 4: The season only lasted 14 episodes because the writers were on strike. This season focuses on the survivors dealing with the arrival of people from a ship, which has come to the Island, and the escape of the Oceanic Six (their post-island lives are shown in flashforwards).

Season 5:Still being aired, it’ s about the 6 survivors who left the island and want to return.

If you want to watch a good series, with action, drama, suspense, all in one... I suggest you should watch Lost. The seriehas very good special efects for science fiction lovers, but it also gives you a lot to think about. If you start watching this serie, I bet it will catch you from the beginning to the end and you won’ t leave it because, can 16 million people just in one country (USA) be wrong?

TECHNOLOGY: THE NEW ERA...

The impact of technology in almost all people around the world is amazing. But … What would life be like without technology? Could people survive without it? Is this the best thing that ever happened to human beings? This and more questions are asked nowadays, but most people don’t care about the results. Beyond all these questions, we can find positive and negative aspects in technology…

To begin with, technology changes human life in different aspects to make it easier and more comfortable. The improvement in some areas, like communication, is incredible. Thanks to the telephone and new means of transport, world distances seem to be shorter and we can communicate with people on the other side of the world just in a few seconds. Not only communication does change, but also medicine for example: scientists are working every day to find new cures for different illnesses, and with this technological advances, their work is now easier and more effective. Another example is that nowadays through the Internet, we can take courses, pay bills, and search for information. In this way technology is really helping our society...

On the other hand, the wrong uses of technology lead us to the negative consequences of it. People aren’t “living” with technology; they are just “depending” on it. This dependency is the wrong aspect, we just leave things to be done by computers, and we don’t even move our body. Another negative aspect of technology among people is that children are intellectually affected, this means that in some cases, their vocabulary is affected; they don’t read a book, they just look for information (copy-paste) or summaries on the Internet. Also their security is at risk every time they surf the Internet. Probably children don’t think about this, but when they upload any picture, or personal information on the internet, any person from any part of the world can read or see it. Frequently, we can hear on the news about new cases of “virtual kidnapping”, or thieves that have their job easier because they find information on the Internet. .

To conclude, technology is getting better every day, and people are taking advantage of it. Different aspects of human life are being investigated, to help society in different ways. We can here on the news that scientists are discovering different things every day. These new advances make human life easier, but it depends on how we use it. I am not saying technology doesn’t help us; we just have to be careful with it, and not always trust every piece of information. . So…is technology really helping us, or just giving us new problems to solve?

Long Live the Queen

Many great rock & roll bands in history were formed in the 1970's. The rise of this music in the sixties along with musicians who impetiously dared the limits of social lifestyle inspired this later generation to go beyond the stereotypes, unconsciously becoming the creators of the best music ever written. This is why nowadays we remember this as the "Golden Age of Rock and Roll". And of course, Queen was part of it.
Born in 1970, Queen was formed by guitarist Brian May, singer and keyboardist Freddie Mercury (whose real name was Farrokh "Freddie" Bulzara, but changed it after joining the band), drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist John Deacon (who joined the following year). The group is considered the worldwide most popular British band of the last thirty years, and also as the best in history (wining the polls to the Beatles by only four hundred votes, according to the BBC). Queen is known for its great muscial variety and their overcrowded high quality concerts.
Although the group was already famous in the early seventies, massive succes would arrive in 1975 witht the first single of the album "A Night at the Opera": Bohemian Rhapsody, a song that would become a mark of distinction of Queen and that was declared the best of the twentieth century. Apart from this masterpiece by Freddie Mercury, many songs of the band have occupied the top of lots of rankings along the years, like "Killer Queen", "Another one Bites the Dust", "We Will Rock You", "Love of my Life", "We are the Champions", "Somebody to Love", and many, many others.
Freddie Mercury progressively became the head and creative leader of the band, and his partners didn't dislike the idea. Mercury showed an unmatched energy up the stage, and possesed a very uncommon (and exceptional) tone of voice, which gave him extra fame outside the group and allowed him to sing opera (which in fact he did, in album "Barcelona"). He found in this genre the inspiration to write most of his songs, Bohemian Rhapsody being the clearest example of it.
After all the great succes of the seventies and eighties with albums like "Innuendo", a dark shadow laid upon the boys of Queen: on November 23 of 1991, Freddie Mercury announced to the world that he had AIDS. he died the following day at the age of forty five, surrounded by friends and family, in his house at Garden Lodge, London. Right after this terrible, most sudden event, Queen utterly dissolved.
A few weeks after the separation, Queen's Greatest Hits was released, breaking sales recors all across the world. In 1992, a tribute concert was held at Wembley in honor to Freddie Mercury, with the purpose of making world conscious about AIDS and it's consequences.
The legacy of Queen has remained untouched along the years, and it will always be an amazing source of inspiration for the generations to come. When we talk about them, we often ignore we're talking about one of the greates, most creative bands in history. It wouldn't be wrong to say that only what was mortal of Freddie Mercury has passed on, would it?

Aníbal Terán '00 in today's La Gaceta

http://www.lagaceta.com.ar/nota/320147/Deportes/Quiero_dar_vuelta_salon_fiesta.html

An Invitation to the Club

We're in this together. You and I. We're members of this club- all of us. This club influences our thinking and gets us interested in various activities. This is a club with clout-and we have a lifetime membership. Now, if I ask you where you do your learning you will probably answer “in school”, right? But there is more to learning than what goes on inside the classroom-much more. Just think about it. (The club loves it when you think!) Think of the one ability you have that means more to you than all the others combined......It's you ability to talk, to communicate. And you learned how to do this without ever stepping a foot in school. The opportunities you have for this type of learning are endless. You can learn from family members, friends and neighbors; join community groups or volunteer your services to good causes. You can visit museums, attend concerts, meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. You can read magazines on every subject imaginable, write your own books, produce your own movies, and who knows what else. All of this is just waiting for you.

So this is our club- Club Ed. Learning is what it is all about. This is a club that makes no demands on its members. It's up to you to make its business your business. How? Just take advantage of the many learning opportunities available to you, both inside and outside school.
Why? Because you owe it to yourself. Tuning in to learning helps you understand yourself and your place in the world. It makes you more confident, more curious, and more excited about life. And believe me, learning makes you a far more interesting person to be around. And, you owe it to the rest of us, those of us who have been in this club for some time now. You are our future. You are someone we'll turn to in the year 2020. You will be one of our teachers, our problem solvers, our global citizens. And we're counting on you.

How can you start? Start by using that ability you value so much. Communication.

Someone once said that writing is too much fun to be left to “writers”. And that is true, especially if you write for yourself, free from the pressure of grades and expectations. Start out with personal writing, a journal, your blog or this school blog. Ask questions and answer them, dream, laugh and remember, express honest feelings, lose track of time and have fun. Do it when you're happy, sad, have a free moment, or are under a lot of stress. Communicate. Let loose that imagination, those words you have inside you, and let the words take you where they want to go. Remember, you owe this to yourself. And take a minute to reflect on this wise Chinese proverb:

“I hear and I forget;
I see and I remember;
I write and I understand.”
-Chinese proverb

Proyecto Basura del CSP Hecho Realidad!

Recolección Selectiva de Residuos blog: http://recoleccionselectiva.blogspot.com/

Publicado hoy en La Gaceta:

PROYECTO COMUNITARIO

Me Divierto Sin Alcohol

The impact of technology

Each time we study technology in class, almost every year since primary school, I find it more interesting. This year we studied its positive and negative consequences, how it reaches every part of the society and how it can impact our daily lives. People see technology as the greatest thing that has ever happened to humankind but what I want to emphasize is the negative impact it has.

The impact of technology in almost all the people in the world is incredible. We notice it mostly in the behaviour of children, how they see things that we did not know about until a couple of years ago, as every day things. It is unbeleivable that a three year old boy says after taking a picture, “Let me see”and runs to the camera to take a look. Or that a girl who is only five can say, “Please, let me play Play Station”. The point is, that it is amusing how technology is being progressively incorporated into daily lives.

As everything in life, this impact has good and bad consequences on societies.
The improvement in some areas, like communication, is overwhelming. Thanks to the telephone you can have a conversation with anybody who is in any part of the world. Nowadays, through Internet, we can buy things without leaving home, search for information, or even study and get a degree. It seems that the impact of technology is the best thing that ever happened to human beings, but, is it really like that?

For almost everybody, life is easier now, but they do not realize that it is causing a huge dependency on technology. This dependency is not good, because as we have everything done by technology, we become more sedentary. This is happening a lot among young people who are not used to reading a complete book. It is easier to read summaries from the Internet than spending time reading. Time they can spend playing video games or chatting with friends.
It is the wrong use of technology that leads us to negative aspects of it. Not only because we become lazier but because of the lack of privacy we can perceive. The most exposed are young people who publish their pictures on the Internet so that anybody who is surfing con have access to them. They do not realise they are allowing the intrusion by publishing them. They only think about having fun. The Internet is not always a safe place as it is a sort of spider web where everything is connected and so companies know which sites are visited every time you log in.
Another consequence of the wrong use of technology is that children in many cases do not need help from other people so they start isolating themselves with the computer and they even stop frequenting their friends because they can comunicate with them through the Internet or cellphone. The family is, of course, left a side too.

As the Internet has become part of our daily life, the cellphone also has. Everybody has one in fact, many of the users are young children. Something that no one is aware of is that it can violate your privacy as the cameras in them are taken as the phone itself, everywhere, and so anybody can take a picture whenever and wherever they want. Also, the cellphone companies, as the Internet, can know exactly what number you are calling and what messeges you send.
Other very popular device these days are the MP3 players. They allow us to listen to our favorite songs whenever and wherever we want. The negative aspect of these devices is that some people isolate themselves, listening to their music even when they are in social meetings or walking next to someone on the street.

And a really worrying consequence of technology is that today’s students are no longer the people educational systems were designed to teach years ago. Marc Presky, specialist in the subject, explains that, “Today’s students have changed amusingly from those of the past. A really big discontinuity has taken place. This discontinuity is the result of the arrival of digital technology in the last decades of the 20th Century”. Today’s students represent the first generations to grow up with all the new technology. They have spent their entire lives surrounded by, and using computers, videogames, digital music players, video cams, cellphones, and all the other toys and tools of this digital age we are living in. People refer to this new generation as “digital natives”and say they are all “native speakers” of the digital language of computers, video games and the Internet. The rest of the people, those who were not born into the digital world but have, at some later point in their lives, become fascinated by, and adopted many or most aspects of the new technology are, and always will be, compared to them as digital immigrants. Marc also says that, “It is very serious, because the single biggest problem racing education today is that our digital immigrant instructors, who speak an outdated language (that of the pre-digital age), are struggling to teach a population that speaks an entirely new language”. Of course, it is not easy for grown ups to feel into the digital natives’ world.

As I have mentioned through out the text, there is a huge number of negative aspects of technology that we are not aware of. This lack of capacity to descern this negativity is one of the characteristics of the new digital era. Era in which we are so familiar and dependent on technology that we do not realise that it has terrible consequences in ourselves and the society that sorround us. We must continue using technology because it helps us in an overwelming way but we must also learn to find a balance so that our lives progress and yet our humanity does also.

Fear and Redemption in The Kite Runner

How many times in our life have we felt the kind of fear that paralyzes us and does not let us do what we want to only because we are scared that something bad will happen or that it will not end as we wish?

Everybody goes through fearful situations in their life but there are some that have everlasting consequences just as the guilt that does not let your life continue normally. Some can change your perspective of the world and it is up to you to make this guilt disappear and find redemption. Although it is not easy, there are people for whom this takes years. “I remember the precise moment crutching behind a crumbling mud wall, peeking into the alley near the frozen creek[…] Looking back now, I realise I have been peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty-six years”(page 1). This is how The Kite Runner begins, a book that tells us the story of Amir, a boy who controlled by fear betrayed his best friend Hassan, and how his life continued after that.

As it happened to Amir the most complicated and harmful consequence can be the necessity to make the guilt of what he did desappear, “Hit me back” I spat “Hit me back, goddamn you!” I wished he would. I wished he’d give me the punishment I craved, so maybe I’d finally sleep at night”(page 92). Or the necessity to find the way back the situation. ”That was the night I became an insomniac”(page 86). To ask for some help instead of evading it. ”School gave me the excuse to stay in my room for long hours. And, for a while, it took my mind off what had happend that winter, what I had let happen”(page 21).

It is the same fear that leads you to make a mistake and after that it does not let you confront the situation. Just as it happens in the book, it is his fear that made Amir betray Hassan, the same that did not let him fix his error and then determined his shyness. This trait did not help hi make some decisions in his life. He found a way out of his fear by redeeming himself.
You find redemption when you pay in some way for what you did wrong. In this way the good things you do will replace the bad ones and you will feel like you have paid for your error. Having betrayed his best friend, Amir was looking for it. “…for the first time since the winter of 1975, I felt in peace[...] in some hidden nook in a corner of my mind, I’d even been looking forward to this”(page 289). These words let us know that as every person who has made a mistake, he was looking forward to the relief of knowing that in some way he had paid for it.

“A way to be good again”(page 192) said Rahim Khan, Amir’s close friend. This helped him to realise that it was time, after twenty-six years to let the guilt go away. It was time to confront the past and to search for redemption. He finally redeemed himself when he started doing the right thing as Rahim Khan has recommended him ”…I believe,is what true redemption is, Amir jan, when guilt leads to good”(page 302).

Amir decided that to find redemption he would look after Hassan’s orphan son..In order to do this, he had to leave his home and wife in America to travel to Afganistan to look for the boy. There he would have to fight against his childhood enemy, the man who had caused his twenty-six years of suffering and guilt. Once he had been brutally snapped by this man, he started laughing. ”My body was broken-just how badly I wouldn’t find until later-but I felt healed. Healed at last.I laughed”(page 289). These words show that his guilt and anxiety of finding redemption were really huge.He felt he deserved to be punched to the point of almost dying, he needed to feel punishment for what he did.

The Kite Runner is a wonderful story about love, honour, guilt and, mostly, fear and redemption. It is a story that illustrates very well what happens when fear is so big that it controls your
actions, and the way you can over come this kind of situations.
