Volleyball and soccer took the opening place on Wednesday August 1. They began under a warm winter afternoon in Tucumán that gracefully continued till the evening. Players were very excited and nervous because it was the first round and they did not know what to expect from their rival, but there was time for them to catch up with friends from other schools.
The schools that participated in the external week were:
-San Javier
-Nueva Concepción
-Sagrado Corazón de Jesús
-Tulio García Fernández
-Ángel María Boisdron
-Pablo Apóstol
-Santa Rosa
-San Juan el Precursor
-El Salvador
-Alumni (Egresados) San Patricio 2006
While soccer and volleyball games continued, rugby games began simultaneously. Spectators crowded the different sporting sections where they cheered for their respective school whilst others just watched.
In between games, the thirsty players and enthusiastic spectators enjoyed a refreshment at the kiosk. Unfortunately, the weather did not help on the second day, as the scattered rain made the arrival of some players difficult, and many were unable to make it to the school. The teams that did not show up were taken out from the draw and in consequence less matches were played.

By Friday, the fixtures had drawn the final game to each sport in the internal and external week. Fortunately the rain had stopped, leaving a cloudy sky and revealing the beautiful scenario of a snowy mountain. School athletes tapped on their last bit of energy to play in the morning and afternoon cold weather.
The winners of the external week were:
-For Female Soccer: Nueva Concepción (defeated Boisdron)
-For Female Volleyball: San Javier
-For Rugby: San Javier (defeated San Patricio ’07)
-For Male Volleyball: San Javier
-For Male Soccer: San Patricio ’07 Team A –yeah!- (defeating Alumni C.S.P. ’06)

The male soccer final was the last match to take place in the external week; where “El Tablón” (San Patricio ’07) claimed victory after a long and very exhausting game with 3 goals to 1.
Though the event was highly competitive, the atmosphere of the games was rather friendly and calm. As games went by, and winners got their trophies, school week sports ended with a friendly match between classmates and the rock band members that were to play that night.
